Education

Lab and classroom PCs ready for every lesson.

Shared lab PCs, classroom machines and staff laptops break in the same few ways all term. Nanoheal fixes them on the device, sets them up before term, and puts settings back when students change them.

What it fixes

Fixed on the device, then checked.

From the fault on one device to the pattern across every site. Each fix is already in the automation library: it runs when the device reports the problem, checks the result, and hands the case to IT, with the evidence, only if it didn’t hold.

  1. Before term

Thirty labs need their software for the new term.

    1. Each lab is a group of PCs; its software is published to that group, on one lab first.
    2. Haya shows what is installed where, so a PC missing an app is found before the lesson.
    3. The missing installs are run again and checked.

Every PC ready for the first lesson.

  2. Students change things

USB storage switched on, the browser changed.

    1. The agent sees the settings drift from the lab’s baseline.
    2. They are put back: the USB storage policy and the browser policy baseline.
    3. The change is recorded, PC by PC.

The lab is the same for the next class.

  3. Overnight

Labs left on with nobody in them.

    1. A power policy from the IT sustainability pack goes on every lab PC.
    2. Restarts and disk clean-ups run while the labs are empty.
    3. In the morning each PC is checked: up to date and ready.

Less power wasted, and labs ready at 9.

And the everyday fixes

When this happensWhat runsThen
In the lab
The printer queue is stuck Checks the spooler and the queue → restarts the spooler, clears stuck jobs Checks it prints
Course software or the browser freezes Restarts the application, or clears the browser cache Back without a technician
A shared PC slows down Clears temp files and caches → restarts stalled services Ready for the next class
On campus
Wi-Fi drops between buildings Resets the Wi-Fi profile → resets the adapter if it’s stuck Checks the connection
Staff lose the VPN Resets the VPN adapter → checks the connection Back at work
Before term

Every lab set up the same, before the first lesson.

Each lab is a group of PCs with its own software and its own baseline: publish once and every PC in the lab gets them, with pre-built Group Policy (GPO) baselines and an IT sustainability pack ready in the library. Haya, Nanoheal’s AI and analytics, shows what is installed where, so a missing app is found before the lesson.

Haya Software Inventory: optional software, Brave, Node.js and CMake each on 186 of 200 devices, missing from 14, with demo tenant data
