Retail & point of sale
Keep every checkout running.
Every PoS terminal takes money for as long as the store is open. Nanoheal watches each Windows PoS device, catches a slow lane or a stuck printer before the queue does, and runs the approved fix on the device.
Fixed on the device, then checked.
From the fault on one device to the pattern across every site. Each fix is already in the automation library: it runs when the device reports the problem, checks the result, and hands the case to IT, with the evidence, only if it didn’t hold.
-
Across stores
An update breaks the loyalty app on 40 tills.
- Haya sees the same crash start on 40 tills in 12 stores, all on the build that updated on Tuesday, and gives a ranking of the stores and the build behind it: one cause, not 40 tickets.
- IT approves rolling the update back for that group only. It runs on one pilot store first, then the rest: staged, approved and versioned.
- Each till is checked afterwards; stores that never took the update aren’t touched.
The crashes stop before the weekend rush.
-
Before it fails
A till gets a little slower every day.
- The PoS app’s memory climbs a little each day, measured against that till’s own history, not a fleet average.
- Before billing starts to lag, the process is restarted and its cache cleared.
- The till is checked afterwards: memory back to normal, the app responding.
The cashier never sees the slowdown.
-
With the cashier
A fix that closes the PoS app isn’t forced mid-sale.
- The scanner stops answering. The fix restarts the scanner software, which briefly closes the app.
- So it is offered on the till rather than run silently, and the cashier taps it between customers.
- The agent restarts the USB and scanner services, reopens the app and checks the scanner answers.
Back to scanning without a call to the desk.
And the everyday fixes
Thousands of tills, one screen.
Each store is a site. Haya, Nanoheal’s AI and analytics, ranks them worst first, so the regional team knows which store to call before the store calls. A new fix goes to a pilot store first, then the rest: staged, approved and versioned. Windows updates wait for the maintenance window after close, and a patch that breaks a till is rolled back.
What it’s worth
- More sales through the tillFewer stalled lanes in the busiest hours.
- Staff serve customersNot the phone to the desk.
- The same checkout everywhereEvery store, every lane.
- Fewer calls and site visitsFixed on the device.
