Switching DEX tools

Switching from another DEX tool?

Whether you run Nexthink, Lakeside, ControlUp or another tool today, these are the questions teams ask before they move, each with Nanoheal’s answer. Ask the tool you have now the same questions, and compare.

Questions to ask

Eleven questions to put to any DEX tool.

Ask before you switch

Can we run it beside our current tool while we compare?
Yes, on separate devices. A pilot usually runs on a group of devices without another DEX agent, so your current tool stays on the rest of the fleet while you compare. If you want both on the same devices, raise it when we plan the pilot.
How many fixes run on day one?
1,200+ tested automations and 3,000+ device policies, from the automation library.
How soon does the first ticket go away?
In week one: we map your top call drivers to the 1,200+ fixes already in the library.
Does a finding come with a fix?
Yes. The finding leads to the approved fix, which runs on the device, and the score shows what changed.
Who writes the next fix, and who maintains it?
Your team, in the visual automation builder. It is settings for actions the agent already has, so there is no script to maintain.
Who approves a fix, and where is each run recorded?
An approver signs it off before it runs, publishing is staged and versioned, and every run is logged as success, failed or pending, per device.
Can you read the score’s method?
Yes. The experience score is patented (US 9,477,573), versioned, and you can tune it per persona.
Does macOS get the same as Windows?
Yes: Windows and macOS, with the same feature set on both.
Does it work with the tools we already run?
Yes. It connects to any service desk, and to Microsoft Intune and Configuration Manager, and works beside them. See the integrations.
Where does it run?
SaaS on AWS by default, on-premises, or air-gapped by design. See Platforms & architecture.
How is it priced?
A subscription priced per managed device, quoted for each deal, with no public price list. See Packaging & quotes.
